Zermatt Collection: Between Ochre and Graphite

Inspired by the serene beauty of early mornings in the Swiss Alps, Zermatt Collection captures the quiet tension between mist-laden skies and the warm, earthy tones of ancient stones. These paintings explore that fleeting space where the breath of the mountain lingers in the stillness.

Each piece is a reflection of a moment: walking through the quiet of Zermatt with my family, wrapped in fog, surrounded by towering cliffs and rust-colored boulders. The sky hung low, veiled in graphite-toned mist, while beneath us, the stones glowed in hues of ochre, rust, and sienna—timeless, rooted, alive.

This palette—anchored in graphite and ochre—became the language of the series. It speaks of presence and memory of the ever-changing alpine light and the enduring landscape it touches. These are not traditional landscapes, but fragments of that morning: breaths from the mountain, suspended in time. Each canvas is a meditation on stillness and strength, on fragility and power, on awe, inviting viewers into moments of tranquility and introspection.
