Espania is an evolving body of work shaped by impressions of Spain—its light, surfaces, and long sense of time. References to Pueblos Blancos of Andalusia, Moorish ornament, and modernist influences surface throughout the series, not as depictions but as traces. Across varied mediums and approaches—including texture, glass mosaic, and abstraction—the work explores erosion, layering, and the quiet weight of memory. Each piece holds a fragment of place, allowing past and present to coexist without resolution.

Pueblos Blancos draws from the white villages of Andalusia, where architecture feels suspended between earth and sky. A softened structural form emerges within layered textures, while a faint arabesque ornament lingers in the sky—less as decoration than as memory. The composition balances solidity and suspension, inviting slow looking as surface, light, and atmosphere gradually reveal their depth.
