The inspiration behind this series is the devastating impact of war on nations across the world, a requiem for the pain, tears, and bloodshed that have shattered countless lives. Yet, amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope shines through, symbolizing the resilience and courage of those affected by the conflict.
Painted in spring 2022, as Russian missiles fell on Odessa, Ukraine — where my closest childhood friend lives. This is my requiem, and my prayer.
