Some images reveal themselves all at once. Others emerge through attention.
In Found, shifting currents of blue and light gather into a landscape that feels both familiar and elusive. In one orientation, the painting opens into expansive water — a quiet lagoon suspended between depth and reflection. Seen another way, organic forms rise and assemble into the presence of a willow at the water’s edge, transforming reflection into structure and shelter.
Rather than fixing a single viewpoint, the composition holds two complete visual experiences within the same surface. Movement, balance, and atmosphere reorganize as orientation changes, inviting the viewer to reconsider what is seen and what may have been there all along.
Designed to hang in either orientation.
Orientation is part of the work.
