Espania is an evolving body of work shaped by impressions of Spain—its light, surfaces, and long sense of time. References to Pueblos Blancos of Andalusia, Moorish ornament, and modernist influences surface throughout the series, not as depictions but as traces. Across varied mediums and approaches—including texture, glass mosaic, and abstraction—the work explores erosion, layering, and the quiet weight of memory. Each piece holds a fragment of place, allowing past and present to coexist without resolution.
Catalan Rhythm - This piece moves like music across the surface—bold color, quiet pauses, sudden accents. Primary hues collide and harmonize in a language shaped by modernist play and architectural memory. A sail-like form cuts through space, carrying echoes of tiled streets, sunlit facades, and the restless spirit of Barcelona. Lines wander, dots punctuate, and texture holds everything in place, creating a rhythm that is felt rather than seen. This work invites the viewer to listen with their eyes, to sense the pulse of a city through color and movement.
